This store is part of a wider re-thinking of Luca Faloni’s boutiques worldwide. Alongside this store our office is also working on other openings such as Stockholm, Milan, London and Munich. The core idea was to create a basic dressing that could be as flexible as possible and able to adapt to future developments, so that it could easily be adjusted to different configurations, according to the store needs and to the products to display, all the while maintaining a local identity.
To characterize this store inspiration was drawn from Miami Beach and its world famous Art Deco district. The color palette and architectural shapes were inspired by the buildings along Ocean Drive and the beach feeling recalled by the ceiling and its linen fabric.
Located inside the Brickell city centre mall in the city's financial district, it features a false ceiling made of multilayer wood and sheets, which also serves the function of diffused general lighting.
The fixtures are realized in walnut veneer, metal structures, Travertino marble tops and boiserie panels cladded with Luca Faloni brushed cotton; the floor is a carpet of hand painted cement tiles, all surrounded by tropical vegetation.
The storefront was also part of the design, it’s shapes reminiscent of the custom made fixtures inside: round cuts frame both display windows while hosting two travertino marble plaforms displaying the products.Completing the design on top of the facade a travertino slab that acts as background for the brand’s backlit logo.
